Laughlin personnel were recently allowed to go to Mexico again after some security threats earlier this year. For some reason, we thought it would be a good experience and for some even stranger reason, we listened to hotel staff that said we could walk across. Bad decisions! It was extremely hot and the walk was longer than "a little way". We walked to Acuna, ate lunch at a recommended spot and got out of there. I felt like kissing the ground once we saw the U.S. boundary marker-never had that experience before.
